Recreation
Our reservoirs are used for irrigation first. On average, 70% of our water comes from storage in Wickiup Reservoir, and Haystack Reservoir actively re-regulates flows within our distribution system on a daily basis so we can maximize control and efficiency in our water management. No matter the level in these reservoirs, there are many recreational options such as fishing, camping, and boating open to the public.
The District manages the water within and the dam along the reservoir, NOT the campgrounds or public grounds surrounding.
Below are helpful links to the federal agencies who manage the public land surrounding the reservoirs, and the relevant regulations. These links have been provided to for your convenience.
